St. Joseph the Worker School Community lost one of our longtime family members on November 18th.
Mrs. Patricia Coffman passed away after a long battle with cancer. She was a teacher at St. Joseph the Worker School for over 30 years and is the mother of our 8th grade teacher, Ms. Coffman. She was an excellent teacher and loved all her students as if they were her own.
On Wednesday, November 29th at 10:00 am, our school will be hosting a Memorial Mass in Mrs. Coffman’s honor. Our entire school will be attending the Memorial Mass. Several of our students, faculty/staff and alumni will be participating in the Mass. (There will not be a reception per the family’s request.) This date was already scheduled as a noon dismissal for Parent-Teacher Conferences, so school will begin at regular time (7:45 am) and end at 12 noon.
NOTE: This is not a funeral, however the subject matter may be difficult for some students, and the church will be very full. If you wish to keep your child(ren) at home, your child(ren) will be marked absent WITHOUT penalty.
