Student Supply Lists and Summer Reading Requirements

Many supplies will need to be replaced ​throughout the school year as they run out.  Other supplies will be required to be in constant supply ​at all times.
 
Quick Reminders:
  • Backpacks with wheels are NOT PERMITTED.
  • Be sure to read your grade/subject requirements ​completely.
  • Please provide specific brands if requested by teacher.
  • Be sure to read ​the SUMMER READING​ requirements ​completely.
  • Students receive book report forms from their teachers.

TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN​: All clothes and supplies ​must have your student’s name
labeled on them in permanent ink. Please provide specific brands requested by your child’s
teacher.
- 2 large boxes Kleenex
- 2 rolls paper towels
- 2 packages baby wipes
- 2 folders, each with 2 inside pockets
- 1 box reclosable gallon, quart or sandwich sized Ziploc bags
- 2 500 page​ packages letter size white copy paper
- 1 complete change of clothing in a Ziploc bag with name on all clothing items and bag
- 1 package 12 count colored pencils
- 1 large backpack (not kiddie size) NO WHEELS
- 1 package 12 count Washable markers
- 1 pair of headphones in ziploc bag with student’s name on bag (not earbuds)
- 1 or 2 large beach towel(s) (for nap time/ must fit inside the clear container)
- 1 clear container (size 12” x 7” x 6” high with locking lid) for storing nap time towel in
- 2 containers Clorox disinfecting wipes
- 1 package 12 count sharpened #2 Ticonderoga​ pencils
- 1 package thick Expo dry erase markers (assorted dark colors)

SUMMER READING REQUIREMENT​: Students are required to read or have your parents read to you, at least three books of your choice. Suggested books include Any I Can Read book by Dr. Seuss, Any Biscuit book or Any Little Bear book. During the first week of school you must submit the ‘My Three Favorite Books Rainbow Book Report. Since summer is a time of leisure, however, we encourage our students to read a wide variety of material for recreation. By doing so, they will increase their vocabulary and reading comprehension.

Since summer is a time of leisure, however, we encourage our students to read a wide variety of material for recreation. By doing so, they will increase their vocabulary and reading comprehension in preparation for the upcoming school year.
6 - Students entering grade 6 must read the following book: The Secret Keepers by Trenton Lee Stewart and may ​ ​ choose one additional book from the following list: ANY Rick Riordan book; The Cay by T. Taylor; A Wrinkle In ​ Time by Madeleine L’Engle.
